Kelly David Hancock III, Esquire

Kelly D. Hancock III was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kelly can trace his lineage back to the iconic American Hancock family who helped us achieve our independence from the British and found this great nation. Excelling academically, Kelly was accepted into the prestigious Pine Crest School. Upon graduation, Kelly received a scholarship to attend Florida State University where he double majored in both Psychology and Sports Management.

Before law school, Kelly spent a Semester at Sea travelling the world, a program sponsored by the University of Virginia. Kelly attended law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida where he would obtain his Juris Doctor. While in law school, Kelly clerked for the Honorable Judge Towbin Singer of the 17th Circuit. Kelly also worked with the renowned civil litigation firm Krupnick Campbell. Even before graduating, Hancock received special permission from the Supreme Court of Florida to practice as a Certified Legal Intern with the State Attorney's Office in Broward County. Post graduation, he accepted a position as a prosecutor with the same State Attorney’s Office.

As a prosecutor, Kelly practiced before some of the most respected Judges in the community and would gain valuable courtroom experience trying over 40 jury trials, countless bench trials, and substantive motions. Kelly's experience ran the gamut from DUI cases to Aggravated Felonies. After completing his service with the State Attorney’s Office, Hancock co-founded Hancock & Berlin P.A., alongside his friend and partner Justin Berlin. Hancock is admitted to practice law in Florida as well as Washington, D.C. Outside of the office, Kelly is an avid world traveler--having visited over 50 countries. Kelly fights vigorously for his clients and makes himself personally available 24/7 via telephone or e-mail.
